God's merciful reign as emergent process of growth. Love ...
"maybe we can't promote [our growth] much but we can certainly mess it up" lol so true!
Eye opening. Inspiring,
Beautiful homily Fr Michael❤
THANKS FATHER MICHAEL❤
I saw you outside SOCIAL SECURITY offices, on West48th Street. I didn't want to interrupt your conversation..
✝️🙏Very beautiful. Thanks Father Michael .😊
How beautiful..thanks Father Michael ✝️ 🙏

Bless your heart ❤
Thanks Father Michael 💜💜💜
Love❤
Love you Father Michael 💜💜💜
I found this helpful. Thank you Fr Michael Holleran. I completely agree that something like penal substitution is a wholly distorted conception of atonement or reconciliation with God through Christ. It seems to me that it _negates_ forgiveness: it is not really forgiveness if God needs to kill someone in order to 'forgive' us. The Father receives the prodigal without any need of killing and slaughter. St Catherine of Siena said: L'amore di Dio è più tenero del primo bacio che la Madonna diede a Gesú appena nato (the love of God is more tender than the first kiss Our Lady gave the newborn Jesus). God has already forgiven us; it is we who have to appropriate this forgiveness and healing.
The Spirit lives in our love, sharing and forgiving. Grace and Peace X
I'm wondering if you think that the theology of Richard Rohr is compatible with that of Thomas Aquinas?
Essence of Easter beautifully articulated Thank you
Hi friends. I was a little behind on posting this, my apologies! This is from the Sunday before Holy Week 2024. I'll be uploading Fr. Holleran's Easter Homily today as well (audio only). Happy Easter! -Colin
A courageous homily. Fr. Michael has no fear in tackling head-on the mystery of God's gratuitous grace. The "test" of Abraham is probably the most difficult biblical text for Christians.
How woke. How diverse. Equity for all. Inclusivity. The joy of throwing off your whiteness, your narrow man/woman sexuality, your burdened conscience, your reliance on repentance. All is joy, love and pardon in the desert. The belief in God who is all woke. How did 2000 years of Catholicism miss this?
❤nothing is excluded. In Him, with Him and through Him.
Thank you.
Thank you Father Michael l😇
Much appreciated Colin. Thanks for the upload.
So glad you threw off all that misinformation about three kings following a star. Such rubbish interferes with the call to be priests, prophets and queens.
“Every particular person is somebody!”
“Not just Mary’s holiness or whatever…” 😀🙏🏼
How lucky we are to hear these words. I love the part about "thisness". In every place God is present. His presence is known the more we allow ourselves to see it. Seeing with our hearts.❤
Beautiful Father Michael..
That's a sermon that speaks.
Where are you living and is there space for who you really are ? Profound questions Thank you as always for your insight
How consoling, in these hard times. Thank you, Father Michael.

Thanks Father Michael 😊🕊
Thank you Father Michael. You are such a beautiful soul. Bless your heart❤
One of your best! Thank you Fr. Holleran
A wonderful exploration of an important Catholic teaching, done with much tolerance. Would that Fr. Michael were in the pulpit in the late 1960's, when Cardinal Spellman of New York insisted that Catholic boys (I was one) should join the military and fight the Communists, for God and country. Pope Paul had to censure him, but the damage was done, and thousands of American and Vietnamese lives were lost or ruined as a result of the Cardinal's bellicose approach to his pastoral duties.
Thoughtful and insightful sermon.
A welcome clarification of the mechanism of redemption as it relates to Christian beliefs Thank you
Thank you. Not a RC or Budhist but found it very enlightening. God bless.
You’re amazing!

How do we know our communications are coming from the spirit
Such a powerful observation of what it means to be wholly Human Thank you
You have your precious projections as well Father, and that always includes a rant disparaging piety and prayerfulness ….fools who still believe in sin and eternal justice. Those of us who fear God. Transformation? Into what? And after a whole month of celebrating Pride, (named after the capital sin), having it shoved at us on subways, cookie boxes, in banks and on tv, it all culminates in a disgusting parade with almost naked men simulating their sexual business before children in public….chanting they do want your children, you include them in your virtuous list of the oppressed that your heart is breaking for? Do you give a d-- about their eternal life? Shadows my foot!
Beautiful! Your preaching always touches me deeply and strengthens my faith and understanding. Thank you.
What a beautiful and profound reflection on the boundless mystery of the eucharist. Michael's generous, passionate explorations of the sacrament are erudite but accessible to ordinary believers like myself. His insights have given me new understanding and helped deepen my faith.
Where is all this in the catechism?
